Former president Bill Clinton helps Nelson Mandela celebrate his 94th birthday

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton plants a tree in celebration of Mandela day in Qunu, July 17, 2012. Clinton also visited former South African President Nelson Mandela at his residence ahead of his 94th birthday celebrations.

Nelson Mandela, the celebrated civil rights leader and former president of South Africa, turns 94  and former U.S. President Bill Clinton was on hand to help him celebrate.
Clinton has been touring the sites of some of the projects in Africa that are funded through his foundation. He also planted a tree in honor of Nelson Mandela International Day, which celebrates the political leader's contributions through community service.
